DIS Copenhagen
Urban Studies and Sustainability Programs
I studied in Copenhagen, Denmark for a year with the DIS Copenhagen program. While there, I took classes mainly on urban studies and sustainability. Many of my classes used Copenhagen as a case study. For example, my Strategies for Urban Livability course had us complete field observations in Copenhagen to see how people behaved in different urban settings. During this year, I discovered my passion for transportation—specifically bicycle, pedestrian, and public transit—after taking courses in urban studies and experiencing Copenhagen’s excellent transportation infrastructure.
